Most hosting providers offer a one-click installer inside cPanel (such as Softaculous Apps Installer) that allows you to install WordPress and other applications quickly without manual configuration.


1. Access the One-Click Installer

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.

  2. Scroll to the Software section.

  3. Click Softaculous Apps Installer (or another installer provided by your hosting).

  4. You will see a list of available applications.

Popular applications include:

2. Install WordPress

    • If you enter blog, it will install on yourdomain.com/blog.

Site Settings

  • Site Name: Your website name.

  • Site Description: A short description of your website.

Admin Account

  • Admin Username: Username to access WordPress dashboard.

  • Admin Password: Choose a strong password.

  • Admin Email: Your email address for notifications.


3. Choose Optional Settings

You can also configure:

  • Language – Select your preferred WordPress language.

  • Plugins – Install recommended plugins during setup.

  • Themes – Choose a design template for your site.

These options can also be changed later inside WordPress.


4. Complete the Installation

  1. Click the Install button.

  2. The installer will automatically create:

    • Website files

    • Database

    • Configuration settings

  3. The process usually takes 1–2 minutes.

After installation, you will receive:

  • Website URL: https://yourdomain.com

  • Admin Login URL: https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin


5. Log in to WordPress Dashboard

  1. Open the Admin Login URL.

  2. Enter your admin username and password.

  3. You can now:

    • Create pages and posts

    • Install themes and plugins

    • Customize your website


6. Managing Installed Applications

From the Softaculous dashboard, you can:

  • Update WordPress or other apps

  • Backup your website

  • Restore backups

  • Clone or stage your website

  • Remove installations


7. Best Practices After Installation

  • Change the default admin username if needed.

  • Install security plugins.

  • Keep WordPress, themes, and plugins updated.

  • Enable automatic backups.

  • Use an SSL certificate for HTTPS security.
